[Also in Group XXXVII] A sewing-machine with auxiliary driving means by which after the main drive is disconnected a shaft of the machine is kept rotating until a predetermined position is reached is provided with a control arrangement, including a contact device of which a part rotates synchronously with the shaft, for stopping the machine in the required position. The auxiliary driving means is as shown in Fig. 2 of Specification 750,603, and the control means are as described in Specification 750,686, including means for selecting either of two stopping positions and for causing reverse movement before stopping in one of these positions.
