Abstract

750,413. Magnetic switches. TRIST & CO., Ltd., R. April 7, 1954 [April 7, 1953], No. 9417/53. Class 38(5) A permanent magnet 1 pivoted at 3 and operable by a float 4 controls a permanent magnet 8 pivoted at 9 and carrying a contact 14, rising of the float causing the magnet 8 to be repelled so that contact 14 leaves contact 15 and engages contact 16, the magnet 8 being retained in this position.by a magnetic or permanent magnet plunger 11 whereby the magnet 8 does not return to its initial position on a subsequent drop of the float 4. To reset the switch the plunger knob 17 is withdrawn against the action of spring 13.
