Abstract

750.376. Change speed gear. MASCHINENFABRIK FAHR AKT.-GES. Feb. 22, 1954 [March 6, 1953], No. 5111/54. Class 30(2) A countershaft-type change-speed gear on a tractor, providing normally four reduced ratios direct-drive and one reverse by sliding wheels 11, 12, 13 on the output shaft 1, clutch 2, and an idler 18 respectively, is provided internally with an additional crawler ratio by sliding another idler 16 axially between the reverse idler 18 and the first forward wheel 13. In the crawler position shown, drive passes through wheels 10, 5, 15, 18, 16, 13, whilst in reverse the second idler 16 is slid axially out of mesh with the reverse idler 18 and first forward wheel 13, which latter is slid into direct mesh with the reverse idler 18. The additional idler 16 is carried on a bearing on a gear-casing cover-plate.
