Abstract
912,109. Change-speed gear. LINDE'S EISMASCHINEN A.G., GES. FUR. June 2, 1961 [June 3, 1960], No. 20049/61. Class 80 (2). [Also in Group XXXI] Change-speed gearing for agricultural tractors comprises an input shaft 3, a main output shaft 15, a clutch 18 for directly connecting the input and output shafts, reducing gear trains 4, 5; 13, 14 between the input shaft and a first auxiliary shaft 6 and a second auxiliary shaft 12 and the output shaft, respectively, a clutch 19 for connecting the two auxiliary shafts, and a hydrostatic gear comprising an oil pump 8 and an oil motor 10 which can connect the first and second auxiliary shafts 6, 12 when clutches 7, 11 are engaged. Accordingly the output shaft 15 can be driven directly from the input shaft 3, or at a mechanically reduced ratio through the gears 4, 5; 13, 14, or can be driven with varying ratios either forward or backwards through the pump and motor 8, 10. A first power take-off shaft 21 can be clutched at 22 to a gear 20 which can be slidden in-and-out of mesh with the gear 4, and a second power take-off shaft 24 can be clutched at 25 to a gear 23 which can be slidden in-and-out of mesh with the gear 14, a clutch 26 being engageable to connect the gears 20, 23. A clutch 27 may be disengaged when it is desired to drive the power take-off shafts 21, 24 without driving the main output shaft 15. Each power take-off shaft 21, 24 can be driven at various ratios either mechanically, or through the hydrostatic transmission 8, 10, from the input shaft 3, or, by engagement of the clutch 27, from the output shaft 15. The half-shafts 17 of the tractor are driven through a conventional axle drive 16, and may be disconnectably coupled to the output shaft 15.
