Abstract
749,284. Electromagnetic switches; contact-members for switches. BOSCH, GES., R. Jan. 28, 1954 [Feb. 6, 1953], No. 2562/54. Class 38 (5) A contact member 14 for bridging two fixed contacts 30 comprises a pair of arcuate members 17 carrying contacts 21 at their ends and connected together by a bowed leaf-spring 18 riveted to the members 17 by studs 22 formed on the latter, the spring 18 thus holding the members 17 inclined to each other; (Fig. 4). An insulating bush 29 passes freely between the member 17 and through an aperture 23 in the spring 18, insulating discs 28 being positioned at the ends of the bush 29 and being retained between flanges 27 of a metal bush 26. The bush 26 is slidable on an extension 13 of an armature 12 and urged against the end of the latter by a spring 15. On energization of a coil 11 the contacts 21 engage the fixed contacts 30 and then roll on the latter as the bowed spring 18 is straightened out.
