748,635. Solidifying soap by cooling. SIMON, Ltd., H. Nov. 18, 1954 [Dec. 3, 1953], No. 33592/53. Class 29. [Also in Group V] In apparatus in which soap is supplied to an extrusion nozzle k by a pump a through a finned pipe b passing through a cooling chamber d, the chamber d is maintained at reduced pressure through a pipe e and cooling liquid e.g. water is sprayed into it through adjustable nozzles f to evaporate in part. Excess water is withdrawn through a pipe i by a pump or a barometric leg. An Archimedean screw may work within the pipe b and the pipe may be disposed vertically.
