745,862. Counting-apparatus. ELMEG ELEKTRO-MECHANIK GES. Nov. 17, 1953 [June 24, 1953], No. 31797/53. Class 106 (1). An electromagnet 7 is operated periodically under the control of an adjustable clockwork mechanism x, y, z to take a print at irregular time intervals from the number wheels 4 of an electrically-operated counter 2. A print is also taken from wheels 8 driven by the clockwork mechanism to represent the time and date. As described, axles of passing vehicles are counted, the wheels producing pneumatic pulses in a tube 16 connected to a diaphragm 17 which completes a circuit to the counter 2 and to an indicating counter 13 for each pulse, the electrical pulse being widened by a condenser 14. When the magnet 7 operates, the contact 6 of the clockwork mechanism is opened and contacts 9 are closed to cause operation of a relay 10, a pulse-widening condenser 15 being provided. Contacts 11 of the relay 10 cause operation of a magnet 12 to zeroize the counter 2.
