Abstract

745,321. Folding chairs. POWER, R. F. April 12, 1954 [Dec. 20, 1953], No. 32313/53. Class 52(2). A collapsible deck chair has a stretcher member 11 interposed between the canvas body support 8 and the back of limbs 4 of the strut to form a substantially horizontal seat. The stretcher member 11 is located below abutments 12 on the limbs 4, and it may be notched to embrace limbs 4. A modification has the transverse stretcher member carried in a transverse pocket in the canvas body support 8. Member 11 may be received in notches in the limbs 4.
