In a tension spring seat assembly the springs S near the front edge are attached to a plate P on an arm A pivoted at H and having lugs L carrying slotted guide plates B engaging a bolt ou the frame support, the arrangement allowing vertical movement of the springs but preventing fore and aft displacement. A compression spring C acts as a shock absorber when full load is applied.
