Abstract

744,001. Crop sprayers ; tanks. FOUR OAKS SPRAYING MACHINE CO., Ltd. March 24, 1954 [Feb. 6, 1953], No. 3360/53. Classes 69 (1) and 69 (3). A sprayer mounted at the rear of a tractor includes spray booms 4 supplied by a pump with liquid from a cylindrical tank 1 and pivoted at 5 so that they may be raised by cables 6. The tank has a flat removable flanged lid 2, and a flange 9 rests on the rim 10 of the tank with the interposition of a packing ring 11. The lid is secured in position by a lever 12 pivoted about a vertical stem 13 on the lid and including inwardly arranged hooks 16 which engage upwardly curved ramps 17 on the tank. Each ramp has a stop 18 and by turning the lever in one direction or the other the lid may be secured to or released from the tank.
