Abstract

796,851. Crop sprayers; nozales. EVERS, C. E. ST. J., and WALL E. Sept. 2, 1955 [Oct. 29, 1954], No. 25988/54. Class 69 (3). A nozzle mounted on a spray boom 3 carried by a vehicle includes a rubber diaphragm 9, with one or more slits therein which are normally closed, secured between nozzle parts 1 and 6. During spraying the pressure of the liquid on the diaphragm keeps the slits open, and when the spraying is stopped the slits close to prevent dripping. To prevent sediment from the boom entering the nozzle a feed-pipe 2 extends into the boom from the nozzle. Specification 680,749 is referred to.
