[Also in Group XXX] A storing wheel for parking vehicles has its axis horizontal and supported high enough above the ground to allow vehicles to pass beneath the lowermost of a plurality of cars 9 pivotally connected to its circumference and adapted to contain one or more vehicles. The wheel is carried by posts, as 1, 2, 4, and is driven by an electric motor 25. A lifting device having a turn table may raise a vehicle to the lowest car 9, or the floor of each car may be vertically movable, e.g. by the motor 25, means being provided to ensure that a car can only be so operated when in the lowest position. Automatic electrical means may stop the wheel when an empty car reaches the lowest position. Each car 9 may comprise a framework having a roof 28.
