Abstract

743,203. Coffee percolators. CORMACK, W. A. May 4, 1954 [Feb. 10, 1953], No. 3730/53. Addition to 706,431. Class 129. [Also in Group XVIII] The pressurised, fountain-type coffee percolator disclosed in the parent Specification, is modified so that the lid and the spout sealing cap cannot be removed without opening the safety valve. The spring loaded valve 26 is now mounted on the spout and pivoted on a channel-section lever 28, which, when rotated, raises the valve from its seating. The lid 7 has a lug 29 engaging the lever 28, and the spout sealing cap 19 has a lug 30 engaging the lever 28 which is therefore rotated if either the lid or the cap is turned to its released position. The underside of the lid is also modified by the addition of a skirt 7a to direct the percolate into the coffee basket. Specification 706,416, [Group XVII], also is referred to.
