Abstract
742,491. Endless conveyers. GEWERKSCHAFT EISENHUTTE WESTFALIA, and HERRMANN, J. April 2, 1953, No. 9261/53. Class 78 (1). In an endless push plate conveyer in which conveyer discs 16 are secured at regular intervals on an endless chain 14 which runs through a conveyer channel 10 and a return guide 24, the chain carries at intervals guide shoes 20 which engage a track extending parallel to the channel 10 and guide 24. This track comprises a plate 12 welded to the flange 11 b of the channel 10 and a U-shaped rail 13 secured to the plate 12 by studs 15. The discs are pivotally mounted on pins 17 which form part of members 18 which connect short lengths of chain into the single endless chain 14. In a modification (Fig. 3, not shown) the chains are provided with shoes which embrace a T-shaped guide track and may be guided on the guide track by rollers.
