An angle-section metal strip has a row of regularly spaced bolt holes in each flange parallel to the junction of the flanges and all the holes in one or both rows are elongated transversely by an amount related to the thickness of the metal, to form slots. In the form shown in Fig. 2 the thickness of the metal is # inch, the round holes 10 are of diamter 9/32 inch, and the elongated slots 12 have a width of 9/32 inch and an overall length of 13/32 inch, the central straight sided portion between the curved ends being 9/32 inch. The overall length of each slot 12 is thus greater than its width by # inch which is the thickness of the metal. The round holes 11 may be elongated transversely to oval form. Fig. 2 shows a corner assembly in which each strip member has one flange inside the flange of one of the other members and the other flange outside the flange of the remaining member, with bolts (not shown) located in registering holes. The bolts in the elongated slots of the inside flanges are arranged at the outer limits of the slots and the assembly is rigid to the extent that the bolts can move only by an amount provided by the lateral clearance of the bolts in the holes. In the corner assembly shown in Fig. 1 all the holes are elongated and the bolts (not shown) in the slots of the outside flanges are arranged at the inner limits of the slots and the bolts in the slots of the inside flanges are at the outer limits of the slots. Fig. 6 shows glazing in which the anglesection strip 11 forms an outer frame member and T-section strips 15, 15a form paritions, the panes of glass 17 being secured by apertured triangular gussets 19 and bolts (not shown).
