Abstract

1,168,719. Buckles. A. ORSTIN Ltd. 11 April, 1968 [16 June, 1967], No. 27906/67. Heading E2A. A prongless buckle comprises a channelled front frame part 2 and a channelled rear frame part 1 adapted to be pressed together into assembly such that the channels pass into overlapping relationship with a covering material trapped between them, the rear frame part only including an integral bridge member 6 which is longitudinally ribbed to provide reinforcement against bending. In the construction shown the bridge member includes two transversely spaced longitudinal strips 13, 14 each of which has a centrally disposed longitudinal rib but the bridge member can have a single flange or two flanges so that it is of channelled formation.
