Abstract

740,912. Explosive composition. FRUTIGER. F. March 4, 1953 [March 4, 1952], No. 6060/53. Class 9(2) An explosive composition comprises a nitrate or perchlorate salt of hydrazine or an aliphatic substitution product thereof, e.g.. mononitrates or monoperchhlorates of hydrazine or methyl hydrazine, and 1-2.5 per cent graphite, starch, wood meal, or other carbon carrier. The salt may be mixed with up to 25 per cent ammonium nitrate. The explosive may be made plastic with gelatinized acetyl cellulose and may include up to 10 per cent, e.g. 5-10 per cent, aluminium.
