740,233. Inflatable craft. SCHEIBERT, H., [trading as DEUTSCHE SCHLAUCHBOOTFABRIK]. April 30, 1954, No. 12626/54. Classes 113 and 114. In a motor-driven inflatable craft comprising a U-shaped tubular body 1, the legs 2, 21 of which are connected at a certain distance from their ends by a tubular member 3, a framework 4, 41 disposed on the tubular body, and an additional frame or transverse members 5 disposed on said framework serving to support a propelling unit or units 7, the framework and/or the additional 'frame 5 are capable of being readily assembled or dismantled. The propelling unit 7 together with the propeller shaft 9, propeller 10, and steering arm 11 can be tilted vertically or alternatively the propeller shaft 9 with the propeller 10 can be independently tilted and also turned through the full circumference of 360 degrees. This arrangement facilitates steering and enables the propeller to be raised to avoid damage in shallow water. To give the boat an improved attitude at speed the bottom 16 is extended beyond the transverse member 3 as shown at 12 in Fig. 5. The extension may be stiffened by a detachable plate or members 13. The bottom 16 supports additional flooring, various forms of which are described, which flooring prevents the bottom assuming a corrugated shape when the craft is in motion..
