Abstract
739,433. Hinges. FAGERLI, G. Feb. 15, 1954 [March 14, 1953], No. 4405/54. Class 65(2). A hinge, particularly for windows, allowing separation of the hinged members without dismantling the hinge comprises a leaf 10 formed with a conical recess to receive a corresponding pivot member 13 which is detachably but non- rotatably attached to the other leaf 11 by a non-circular extension 14 of the conical member 13 engaging a recess 15 in the part 16 of the leaf 11 ; the parts are held together by a screw 17 threaded into the part 16, and the recess 15 opens to the side of the part 16 by a slot 18, through which the extension 14 can be moved when the screw 17 is unscrewed out of the part 16, thus permitting separation of the members 10, 13 from the member 11.
