738,768. Reversing gear. BLUMENTHAL & CO., Inc., S. Nov. 25, 1952 [Aug. 6, 1952], No. 29821/52. Class 80 (2). [Also in Group IX] Reversing gear for a loom (see Group IX) comprises a bevel gear 2 on the power shaft of a motor meshing with gears 3, 4 mounted for free rotation on a shaft 5 which drives the loom. Electromagnets 16, 17 are fixed to gears 3, 4 and have armatures 30, 31 which rotate with the shaft 5, energization of magnet 16 driving shaft 5 forwardly and energization of magnet 17 driving the shaft in reverse. U.S.A. Specifications 2,499,887, 2,556,785 and 2,625,183 are referred to.
