[Also in Group XXXVI] A device for connecting a cable to a support comprises a member 1 having means (not shown) for securing the cable thereto and means for connecting the member 1 to the support, the connecting means including a hook and an eye dimensioned so that they can be engaged or disengaged only by two successive differently directed movements. The top of member 1 is formed into a hook 2 having an enlarged end 24 over which the eye 25 will pass when one of its limbs 20 or 21 is passed through the hook opening D. When the eye 25 reaches point C the width l of the hook is less than the width e of the eye, so that the eye can be turned through 90 degrees to enable it to pass along hook 2 to point A, where the thickness h of the hook is greater than e, preventing the eye rotating about this point.
