Abstract

737,047. Pneumatic conveyers. SIMON HANDLING ENGINEERS, Ltd. June 24, 1954 [July 20, 1953], No. 20035/53. Class 78 (1). A suction nozzle a and a power-driven vibrator g are mounted on platforms c which are connected by inclined spring blades e to side plates f resting on the floor. The nozzle is of trumpet shape with a flared mouth and has a circular end d where it is coupled to the suction system. The material to be conveyed is agitated by parts m which project in advance of the nozzle. The space between the nozzle and the surrounding structure is closed by a plate p. The vibrator comprises an electric motor with eccentric weights i on its shaft j. A handle s is provided by which the operator controls the direction of movement. Specification 731,485 is referred to.
