Abstract

1478556 Impact pulverizers VEREINGTEOSTERREICHISCHE EISENUND STAHLWERKE-ALPINE MONTAN AG 11 Sept 1975 [6 Dec 1974] 37489/75 Heading B2A An impact pulverizer has a housing 2 including baffles 10 and a grate or screen 11 which are connected and vibratable with the housing. The rotor 1 or rotors are mounted independently of the housing and in operation do not contact it. Where two rotors are employed Fig. 3 (not shown) they may be driven by countershafts or independently. The housing is vibrated on spring members 14 by rotaryunbalance motors 15. The frequency and/or amplitude of vibration may be varied. In a modification the position of the baffles 10 and grate bars 11 is reversed and the ground material is pneumatically sucked upwards, the grate bars 11 being provided with suction hoods and suction pipes.
