Abstract
736,670. Endloss-chain conveyers. KING, D. M. June 5, 1952, No. 9463/54. Divided out of 736,587. Class 78 (1). In a conveyer of the kind wherein a load or load carrier rests on and is transported by one or more endless chains and control mechanism is provided including a stop device located at a final station and one or more subsidiary stop devices disposed at one or more preceding stations, the control mechanism at the final station A includes a resilient member 34, which projects into the path of a load carrier and stops it provided that there is no positive driving connection between it and the chain, and a pivoted member 35 which is adapted to be raised by a load carrier and through lever-andlink mechanism 38, 39, 40 to actuate means at the preceding station B to disconnect the next load carrier from the chain. The chain carries spring-loaded pins 47 which are adapted to enter a recess 48 in each load carrier. When a pin runs on to a pivoted member 49, it is either disengaged from the recess or maintained in engagement therewith depending on whether the member is lowered or raised. The member 49 at station B is supported by a pivoted member 53 which is connected by a spring 55 and rod 42 to the lever 40. The member 49 at station A is supported by a pivoted member 50 which is actuated by a solenoid &c. Specification 701,610 is referred to.
