Abstract
1,254,985. Roller conveyers. INTERLAKE Inc. 2 July, 1970, No. 32269/70. Heading B8A. A gravity roller conveyer comprises a movable stop 7 at a leading load station 4, a stop 8 at a rear load station 5 and a braking roll 11. The stops 7 and 8 are connected. When the leading load L1 is removed, the stop 7 is raised by spring means (not shown), the stop 8 is lowered and a second load L2 is released for movement toward the station 4. A third load L3, since it is in contact with the braking roll 11, is slowed and L2 moves ahead of it. The load L2, arriving at station 4 before load L3 fully reaches station 5, causes stop 8 to be raised and load L3 is stopped, together with abutting loads L4, L5. The spacing between loads at the two stations facilitates removal of each load as it arrives at station 4.
