Abstract

1,082,091. Roller conveyers. A. T. KORNYLAK. Feb. 22, 1965 [Aug. 26, 1964], No. 7505/65. Heading B8A. A dockside roller conveyer 10 and a roller conveyer 31 on an elevator of a truck, ship, &c. may be bridged by a rollerway section 17 which is moved to and from the gap-closing position by a motor 27. The bridge section 17 is guided by rollers (36) engaging frame members (15), Fig. 3 (not shown), and rollers 13, 22, 32 are powered. Stops 33, 34, 35 retain a pallet in position P or P1 after conveyance. In a modification, Figs. 4, 5 (not shown), a bridge section (117) is pivotally mounted on a dockside section (110) and has a stepped portion (142) for engagement with a complementary portion (143) of the third conveyer (130). In a further modification. Figs. 8, 9 (not shown), a bridge section (317) is movable on rails (350) running normal to the direction of the other conveyers (310, 330). The section (317) may be used with several pairs of conveyers such as (310, 330).
