Abstract

1511535 Conveyer systems PFALZSTAHLBAU GmbH 27 Aug 1975 [14 Sept 1974] 35293/75 Addition to 1280450 Heading B7L In an endless chain towing conveyer system as claimed in claims of the parent Specification each coupling device 2 comprises a housing 10 for a pivotal drop or additional lever 25 extending into the path of movement of the caps 20 and 23 so as to be pivoted upwardly, to displace an intermediate lever 32 pivoted in the housing 10 and arranged to move a pivoted trailing lever 11 from a normal position in which latches a pivoted driving finger 12 to a release position in which it permits the finger 12 to pivot out of engagement with a cart (not shown) upon engagment of the lever 25 with a cap 20 or 23. The normal horizontal latching position of the lever 11 is ensured by a stop pin 31 and the lever 11 is operable by a lateral extension 35 on the intermediate lever 32. The driving finger 12 has a counterweight side extension 36 and the drop lever 25 has an end face 26 co-operating with a stop 27 on the housing 10 to limit downward movement of the drop lever.
