A machine for cutting metal tubes by a slowly rotated shearing disc is characterized in that the driving transmission between the driving motor and the disc includes a speedreducing device comprising a worm and worm wheel. A cutting disc 24 is journalled in a structure 4, pivoted at 3, and is rotated by a worm-wheel 23 on the disc shaft driven by a worm 19a, rotated by an electric motor 8 carried by the structure. The disc 24 is moved towards a tube to be cut, supported below it on rolls 42, 42a adjustable to and from one another by a screw 44, by moving the structure 4 about its pivot 3 by the manual rotation of a screw 32 engaging a threaded bush on an extension 30 of the structure. The structure 4 may alternatively be slidable on rectilinear guides to and from the work by screw means.
