Apparatus of the kind in which a plurality of liquid-containing baths have a perforated basket associated with each one, arranged to tip about a pivot from a partially immersed position to one in which the contents of the basket tip into the next successive basket, has automatic tipping means and means whereby the immersion time in each bath can separately be adjusted. The baths 3 are provided with baskets 4 tipping about axes 5 by a lever arrangement in which a roller 17 engages a cam slot 18 in the arm 12. By suitably arranging the positions of the respective rollers 17 on the cam discs 8, which are driven from a common motor 7, the time interval for each treatment can separately be adjusted. A roller 11 rests on the undulating periphery of the cam disc when the roller 17 is not in engagement with the cam groove 18, and thus joggles the basket in the bath.
