Abstract
A free-flowing and substantially non-caking urea composition comprises an intimate mixture of substantially crystalline urea and from 1/2 per cent to 2 per cent by weight of basic magnesium carbonate. "Substantially crystalline" urea is commercial urea of which not less than 90 per cent by weight will pass British Standard sieve No. 30. Preferably the urea should be dried to a moisture content of less than 1 per cent before the basic magnesium carbonate is mixed with it. The urea used may be produced by synthesis from ammonia and carbon dioxide.
