Abstract

Anti-acid compositions comprise mixtures of calcium caseinate and calcium carbonate, e.g. in the proportions of 5 parts caseinate to 1 part carbonate. This mixture may be obtained by reacting excess of calcium carbonate with casein. Aluminium hydroxide, magnesium silicate, kaolin, charcoal, pectin may be added and the mixture may be in the form of a powder or tablet. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 mentions admixtures of strontium and magnesium caseinates with calcium strontium, magnesium and bismuth carbonates. This matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
