730,516. Silos. AKTIEBOLAGET STANDARDHUS. June 18, 1953, No. 16866/53. Class 20 (1). A silo has a discharge opening L at its bottom M and one or more vertical internal partitions K extending upwardly at least to the level of maximum lateral grain pressure in a full silo, and being spaced from the bottom M whereby the compartments formed by the partitions K and silo walls communicate directly with the outlet L. The partitions relieve pressure on the silo walls, and may comprise a single central cylinder or polygonal container or spider mounted on legs on the silo floor, or may comprise a number of board partitions extending inwardly from the silo walls or diagonally across the corners, and may, as shown, intersect. Each partition may be a grid formed of a number of rods.
