Abstract

668,134. Silos. TAMINI, M. Jan. 31, 1950. [Feb. 16, 1949] No. 2488/50. Class 20(i). A cylindrical silo is constructed from a skeleton framework of vertical and horizontal girders to which are clamped unperforated metal sheets of the same size as each space of the framework. The vertical girders M are U-cross-section, and the horizontal girders A are T-cross-section, the sheets L resting on the horizontal girders A, and clamped to the framework by horizontal bands F and vertical plates R. In another embodiment Fig. 4 (not shown), the silo may be made with a double wall by using U- shaped spacers. The silo is covered by a suitable conical lid, similarly constructed.
