Abstract
730,128. Electric clocks. LIP SOC. ANON. D'HORLOGERIE. June 5, 1953 [June 7, 1952], No. 15538/53. Class 139. An electric clock comprising a balance 1, Fig. 1, in the form of a rotor actuated by an electromagnet 6, 7 inserted in an electric circuit the opening and closing of which is effected by the balance is characterized in that a stopping member or abutment 11 is provided on the balance and is adapted to co-operate with a manually actuated control member 9 to stop movement of the balance 1, the arrangement being such that the feeding circuit of the electromagnet is broken when the balance is stopped. The member 9 is embraced by a forked member 16 frictionally mounted on a spindle 17 rotatable by a knob 15 to set the hands. The member 9 may be independent of the hand-setting mechanism, Fig. 2 (not shown).
