729,324. Boxes. BRITISH XYLONITE CO., Ltd., and BROWN, W. B. Aug. 13, 1953 [May 16, 1952], No. 12470/52. Class 18. [Also in Group XXV] The body 1 and lid 2 of a box made from synthetic plastic material are respectively formed with upstanding lugs 9 and 3, and are connected together by one or more hinges each of which comprises a pair of hinge plates 10 and 11, and a hinge pin 14 ; each hinge plate being formed with respective underturned flange parts 15, 17 and 16, 18 at opposite sides thereof parallel to the hinge axis, and which engage corresponding undercut surfaces 5 and 6 provided at opposite sides of said lugs. The arrangement is such that the hinge plates may be slid into position in a direction parallel to the hinge axis, and are held, when in position, by the engagement of spring tongues 19 on the outer edges of the hinge plates, with recesses 7 formed in the lugs.
