Abstract

728,324. Packaging. ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH), Ltd. March 3, 1954 [March 11, 1953], No. 6660/53. Class 94 (1). Tobacco is wrapped in the stages shown by folding a wrapper 11 round the tobacco block 14 as in Fig. 3, folding over on to the end of the block the portion 16 extending from the side having the overlapping seam, Fig. 4, then folding over on to the already folded portion 16 the opposing portion 17, Fig. 5, so that the two opposed remaining sides 18, 19 fold upon themselves to form extending triangular tabs 21, which are then folded on to the end of the package as in Fig. 8, an end recess 23 being formed by punching in the ends of the package. Punching can also take place at the stage reached in Fig. 5.
