Class 18 A cardboard box has a reinforced metal band 21 secured within the rim by extensions 11, 12, being folded inwardlyover the band and secured to the box sides. Hand-holes are formed by cutting out tabs 20 and folding them upwardly over the band 21 prior to the folding in of the extensions 11, 12. A cross tie 23 may prevent the sides spreading.
