The carton described in Specification 716,819 is modified in that those doubled portions of the side wall extension flaps, which are enclosed between the doubled over end walls, are slit along the line of doubling. The carton may be further modified as described in Specification 764,265 by coating the extension flaps with self-adhesive and by omitting the cut-outs.
