728,228. Sterilizing liquids. STRUBE, W. C. June 11, 1952 [June 13, 1951], No. 14728/52. Class 49. A device which is for sterlizing liquids, and which may be used in association with a domestic water tap, comprises a vessel 1 consisting of, or lined with, electrically non-conductive material and having a liquid inlet 2 and a liquid outlet 3 not larger than the inlet, and electrodes 4 and 5 near the inlet and the outlet. An electric potential is applied to the electrodes so that there is an electric current as soon as there is liquid between the electrodes. The vessel may be provided with plates 7, consisting of or coated with electrically non- conductive material, for deflecting the flow of liquid.
