Abstract

728,118. Folding beds. STEEL & CO., Ltd., W. May 10, 1954 [Feb. 15, 1954], No. 4445/54. Classes 52 (2) and 52 (3). The frame of a bed is in five sections 4, 1, 7, 9, 11 hinged together, the section 1 has a base frame 2 with castors 16 and the three sections 7, 9, 11 at the foot end can be folded up as shown in Fig. 1 with the sections 7, 11 substantially vertical and in spaced relation, the head section 4 being then swung up so that the head board 6 covers the structure and serves as a table top. A drape can be secured in a groove 24 around the board 6 and the spaces between the folded sections can accommodate the bedding. Hinged legs 17 automatically unfolded by links 22 are provided.
