Abstract

Coloured textile materials of an organic derivative of cellulose, e.g. cellulose acetate, are given an improved resistance to gas-fading by incorporating therein polyethyleneimine, preferably of an average molecular weight of at least 650. The material coloured with, for example, a blue anthraquinone dye, is preferably impregnated with an aqueous solution of the polyethyleneimine, although non-aqueous solutions or aqueous emulsions of solutions in organic solvents may be employed.
