Abstract
724,816. X-ray apparatus. PHILIPS ELEC. TRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. March 18, 1953 [March 18, 1952], No. 7548/53. Class 98 (1). Apparatus for X-ray kinematography comprises, associated with a patients' table, an enclosure 5 of which the walls are impermeable to light rays and X-rays and having at one end a kinematograph camera 6, and at the other end a viewing opening 9, a horizontal X-ray screen 1 and a vertical X-ray screen 7, movable reflectors 2, 8 being provided for each screen. The patient, when horizontal, lies on a table top 4, Fig. 1, and is irradiated by X-rays from a tube above the table to form an image on the screen 1. Mirror 2 is inclined at 45 degrees to the screen and is so positioned as to enable the image to be viewed through opening 9. The mirror 2 is turned about a vertical axis to enable the image to be photographed by camera 6. Mirror 8 is meanwhile folded against screen 7. For the examination of a seated patient, table top 4 is swung to one side and enclosure 5 is raised as by counterweight to the position shown in Fig. 3. The patient sits by the end of the apparatus and the image is formed on screen 7. Mirror 2 is folded against screen 1, and mirror 8 is arranged so that the image can be viewed through opening 9. Mirror 8 is folded against the enclosure wall when the image is to be photographed.
