[Also in Group XXXVII] The bimetallic disc 1, forming part of the protective device described in the parent Specification, is slotted as shown at a and c in Fig. 1 or as shown at e in Fig. 2. This allows independent deflection of parts of the disc separated by the slots, and allows the temperature at which the disc executes its snap movement for opening the protective circuit to be more accurately determined.
