Class 80 (3) [Also in Groups XVI and XXII] In a pantographic die-sinking or engraving machine for two- or three-dimensional copying wherein the pantograph comprises a parallelogram linkage which is slidably adjustable to alter the ratio of reproduction, said linkage being pivoted at A and having a tracer at B and a cutter at C, and the points A, B, C always lying on a straight line, the range of the machine is increased by providing an extension G on the arm H pivoted by a link I to a point B' on a bracket L attached to an aligning bar D which is slidable through brackets E, F on the pivots B, A. The cutter is then attached at B' instead of B, the triangles CXB and BYB' being similar. The bar D may be fixed at F and slidable at L, and may be coincident with the line ACBB' instead of offset. The extension members may form an attachment for an existing pantograph.
