Abstract

379,579. Pantographic apparatus. KASSEBAUM, H., 41, Gr. Brunnenstrasse, Halle, Saale, Germany. Dec. 7, 1931, No. 33897. [Class 97 (iii).] The pantograph writing appliance described in Specification 307,146, [Class 97 (iii), Thermometers &c.], is modified so as to write characters of different inclinations and different heights by adjustably mounting 'the stylus arm a in the hollow shaft b so that it can be inserted therein either in the manner shown in full or in dotted lines. By inserting it to a greater or less extent in the shaft b when in the full-line position, the inclination of the characters can be varied from 15‹ to 22¢‹, and when in the dotted line position the height of the characters can be changed as desired. The head k of the shaft b may be formed for this purpose with two bores at right-angles, or it may have only one bore and be rotatably mounted. A locking- screw s is provided.
