Abstract

723,152. Mudguards. PINK, S. G. June 15, 1953 [June 13, 1952], No..14935/52. Class 136(1). A mudguard 10 for a motor-cycle wheel is provided with detachable valance parts 1 bolted to the mudguard stays 4, 5 by bolts 6, 7 which also secure the half-hoops 8, 9 bracing the mudguards. Each valance part comprises a flat piece of sheet metal with a slight outward step 2 at about half its width in the radial direction. The outer edge of each valance part is overlapped by the inner edge of the corresponding skirt portion 10a of the mudguard. A clip 11 engaging the mudguard is attached to the forward end of each valance part 1.
