722,742. Moulding processes. FORD MOTOR CO., Ltd. May 28, 1952 [June 2, 1951], No. 13574/52. Class 83 (1). [Also in Group V] A casting mould, Fig. 1, is made from a mixture of a resin and a refractory material, e.g. silica sand. The resin may be thermosetting, e.g. phenol aldehyde with a catalyst, e.g. triethanolamine, or thermoplastic. The mixture is compressed or injected between dies 10, 11 (see Group V). The amount of resin used is generally from 3 to 9 per cent of the mixture.
