Abstract

A block for pressing a sanding belt against wood moulding and the like during profile sanding comprises a body member 12, e.g. of wood, having a pressure face liner 14 of cast synthetic resin, e.g. phenolic resin, the resin <PICT:0774465/IV(a)/1> liner may contain glass beads of 28-35 mesh size and a dry lubricant, e.g. molybdenum disulphide or graphite. The casting mix may comprise by volume two parts of glass beads, one part of molybdenum disulphide and three parts of resin.
