720,013. Up-ending apparatus. RHEEM MANUFACTURING CO. May 2, 1951 [Sept. 28, 1950], No. 10327/51. Class 78 (1). In an up-ending apparatus, cylinder blank 11, sliding end-on along rollers 14, positions itself between arms 22<SP>1</SP> of wheel 20 and, in doing so, it strikes pivoted trigger member 35 and, in causing the latter to pivot, operates lever systems 40, 42, 44, 45, 47, so that spring- loaded arm 49 is withdrawn from notch 49<SP>1</SP> of clutch plate 50 mounted on motor shaft 28 and the motor 29 rotates one revolution until arm 69 again lodges in said notch 491. The consequent revolution of wheel 20 (driven through chain 26) takes the cylinder 11 and rotates it through 90 degrees, depositing it on rollers 17, the apparatus now being set for the next cylinder.
