Abstract
702,691. Kinematograph apparatus. DEBRIE, A. V. L. C. July 6, 1951 [Aug. 9, 1950], No. 16134/51. Class 97(1) An intermittent feed mechanism comprises a cylindrical cam with three peripheral tracks which produce, respectively, the feed and engaging movements of the claw and the movements of a counter balancing mass. As shown, the shaft 3 driven by the motor 1 carries the shutter 2 and the cam 4 with grooves 5, 6, 7. The groove 5 actuates a pin 8 on a crank 12, the shaft of which carries a lever 13 which produces the feed movements of a claw 11 on an arm 21 slidable in a ball socket 20. The groove 6 actuates the pin 9 of a crank, the shaft of which carries a crank 15, which actuates the arm 21 to engage or disengage the claw, and a crank 16 which, through a bell crank 24, actuates the register pin 17. The groove 7 actuates the pin 10 of a crank, the shaft of which carries a lever 23 with the counter balancing mass 22. The cam may be enclosed to maintain lubrication, the crank shafts emerging through stuffing boxes.
